How to export logs files in Mavis?

In Mavis, you can use the "Log Export" feature to export and save system-generated logs or record data to external storage or other systems for subsequent analysis, auditing, monitoring, or long-term storage purposes.

Mavis logs are divided into Audit logs and System logs, which provide detailed records of user activities. For example:

  • Login and Logout Records: Logs the time and IP address of user logins and logouts from the system or application.
  • User Activities: Tracks user actions within applications or systems, such as creating, editing, or deleting files, data records, etc.
  • Error and Exception Logs: Records system or application error messages, exceptional events, and alerts to assist in analysis and issue resolution.
  • Security Logs: Monitors security-related activities, such as backup of fail-safe mechanisms, data migration, and SIEM integration.
  • System Performance and Resource Monitoring: Records system resource usage, such as online users, storage consumption limits, etc.

Currently, users are able to selectively export these log data in CSV format. The exported logs can be further analyzed, used for report generation, or integrated with other systems to enhance security, maintain system operations, and demonstrate compliance.

How to export files from Audit Logs / System Logs?

Using the Audit Log as an example:

  1. Open your Audit Log and apply filters to select the range of logs you want to export.
  2. Click the "Export" button.
  3. Confirm the selected query interval and information, then click "Procceed."
  4. The system will process your request. Please wait for the download link in the Notification Center.
  5. Once processing is complete, a downloadable link will be provided, along with relevant details, such as:
    • Export date period: 2023-08-14 00:00:00 ~2023-08-14 17:09:21
    • Expiration date: 2023-08-15 09:29:21
    • File count: 1
  6. If the download window is closed and the file has not expired yet, you can re-download the file from the Notification Center located at the upper right corner.
