After enabling LDAP login authentication, users will see the LDAP login page on Mavis.
Once the account is verified by the LDAP server, Mavis will perform the following checks on your LDAP account against the accounts in the Mavis system:
Check if the account exists in Mavis
If not: the account needs to be added to Mavis.
If neither Mavis account nor Email exists:
Create a new user using the LDAP account information.
If the LDAP account duplicates an existing Mavis account:
Set the account source to LDAP.
Retain the existing Mavis email.
If the account is a temporary Mavis account:
Login will be blocked.
If the account is a deactivated Mavis account:
After login, the account will be reactivated.
If the LDAP account does not exist in Mavis but the email exists:
The login will be invalid.
